When our customers tell us the amazing health benefits they receive from using our turmeric, it makes us work even harder to develop products worthy of their trust.

Turmeric or Curcuma longa is a perennial plant and is in the same family as ginger. Turmeric grows rhizomes underground which are harvested and used in a variety of ways. It is commonly used as a cooking spice in Indian cuisine. While it has been utilized for 4,000 years medicinally, it has only been in the past 25 years that the tremendous health benefits of turmeric have been scientifically validated through hundreds of medical research studies. As noted in the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) Journal, turmeric and its primary compound, curcumin, can modulate multiple human cell signaling pathways. These pathways impact physiological processes, and especially those involved in the immune system..

Curcumin, the most widely recognized component in turmeric, is chemically a lipophilic polyphenol, which is scientifically recognized as an antioxidant. In addition to its antioxidant properties, research findings published in 2020 in Frontiers in Pharmacology revealed the following five other benefits from ingestion of the Curcumin in Turmeric:

  • Anti-inflammatory effects;

  • Neuroprotective effects (i.e., protective of the nervous system);

  • Anti-cancer effects (through biochemical effects on signaling pathways);

  • Hepatoprotective effects (i.e., protective of the liver);

  • Cardio-protective effects (i.e., protective of the heart)

How can you use our products to achieve the best results?

  1. Add turmeric to any food. It gets into our cells more easily when eaten with food. Maybe that is why it is used traditionally as a spice. Our Fermented Powder and Georgia Gold™ Puree and Pourable products blend especially well with foods

  2. Keep it cool and it will remain very stable for many months

  3. Use it regularly. Perhaps you will need to give it some time before you start noticing its benefit. Some customers tell us that it takes awhile...then they get it!

  4. Use Combos. Many of our customers experiment with combining turmeric powder and our Georgia Gold™ Raw Probiotic products. The therapy of powder is magnified when absorbed with the essential oils and resins in the raw products.

  5. Georgia Gold Fermented Raw Turmeric Oil. This increases absorption of the curcumin in powdered turmeric by as much as 48 times. For reference click here.

  6. Turmeric Skin Care  - The anti-aging quality of our Wild Root Deep Skin Serums improves the texture and clarity of your skin soon after use. Many see anti-aging effects in as little as seven days. Specific herbal roots (including turmeric) are fermented - not extracted because hundreds of compounds make skin beautiful. Send an email to and ask what we will do for our first 100 customers.

  7. Turmeric Leaves are a healing tea. With 73 essential oils they improve upper respiratory distress. They are best when combined with other teas.

Are there scientific studies documenting that whole turmeric is better than the sum of its parts?

Scientific studies have provided evidence that isolated extracts of curcumin are not absorbed well. Our liver "conjugates" curcumin and it is excreted. The hundreds of compounds in turmeric work well together to ensure the absorption of the curcuminoids. When the hundreds of compounds in turmeric are taken together, the benefits of curcumin are magnified as much as 48 times.

The following quote is from an article that is referenced above:

.."Non-curcuminoids are as equally potent as curcuminoids. There is comprehensive potency as an anticancer mechanism in the turmeric oils such as turmerones, elemene, furanodiene (FN), bisacurone, germacrone, calebin A (CA), curdione, and cyclocurcumin. The clinical studies provide ample evidence of the therapeutic potential of these compounds"…. Turmeric has a diverse chemical composition, principally containing approximately 235 terpenoids and phenolic compounds."
